When a process line must be sterilized and trusted, the microscopic pipe surface matters as much as the steel grade. We electropolish inside and outside at our Mumbai facility, guaranteeing internal Ra ≤0.4 µm.
What Electropolishing Does, and Why It Matters on a Process Line
Mechanical polishing drags abrasive grit across the surface. It looks shiny, but microscopic examination reveals scratches that trap chlorides, bio-film, and bacteria.
Electropolishing is an electrochemical process. Controlled electrolytic removal levels microscopic peaks and strips free iron from the surface, leaving a chromium-rich, ultra-passive oxide barrier behind.

Service Limitations (We Tell You Upfront)
- Avoid service with hydrofluoric (HF) acid and aggressive halogen compounds.
- Not recommended for slurry lines carrying heavy abrasive grit or continuous sediment.
- Not designed for primary structural framing or severe mechanical impact service.
- Careful handling and soft slings are required during crane lifts to preserve electropolished mirror finish.
