Chennai's process industry isn't in one place. Chemical and petrochemical units cluster around Manali in the north. Chennai sits on the coast, and Manali and Ennore are close to the sea. Salt-laden air and chloride-bearing media attack stainless steel by pitting. We steer coastal and chloride-exposed lines towards 316L or duplex 2205 instead of plain 304, and our external electropolishing leaves a smoother, more passive outer surface as well as the inner one.
Manali is one of Tamil Nadu's main chemical and petrochemical clusters. For that work, grade selection matters more than the polish. We also tell you the limits upfront: avoid hydrofluoric acid, and don't use electropolished pipe for abrasive slurries.
