Dye houses use hot water, salts and chemicals. Salts bring chlorides, so 316L is usually safer than 304 for lines carrying them. A smooth electropolished surface also keeps dye and residue from clinging, which helps changeovers.
Dosing lines carry concentrated chemicals. Share the fluid, concentration and temperature, and we'll confirm the grade and flag limits (no hydrofluoric acid). For abrasive effluent slurries, electropolished pipe is not recommended.
Washing, boiling and drying lines need cleanable surfaces. 304L suits most food-grade duty here, and we'll say so rather than push 316L.
Most buyers here order modest lots. We quote small project lots as well as bulk, with the same documents either way.
