Electropolished Pipes & Tubes Manufacturer and Supplier in Nellore

Nellore, on the Chennai–Kolkata highway about 26 km from Krishnapatnam Port, is the centre of a coast where a port-led industrial city, a large agro-processing SEZ and a planned refinery and petrochemical project are being built. We manufacture and electropolish SS 316L and duplex 2205 pipes and tubes and quote against your drawings from design stage, with MTC EN 10204 3.1, 100% PMI testing and a measured Ra report on every order.

Regional Capability

Electropolished Pipe for Nellore's Coastal Industrial Belt

Nellore is a municipal corporation of about 6 lakh people on National Highway 16, with Krishnapatnam Port, India's largest private-sector deep-water port, about 26 km away. Three large projects shape its industrial future. Krishnapatnam Industrial Area (KRIS City), a Chennai–Bengaluru Industrial Corridor node, is planned as a port-led industrial city, with a first-phase area of about 2,500 acres and focus sectors that include auto components, electronics, agro and food processing, pharma and biotech, and textiles. The IFFCO Kisan SEZ, an agribusiness SEZ of about 2,776 acres, is designed as an integrated agro-park for food processing and global manufacturers. Further up the coast, a refinery and petrochemical project requiring about 6,000 acres, and the Ramayapatnam port, are in development stages in the Kavali area. The district's coast is also known for aquaculture and seafood processing.

A word on fit. Large refinery and petrochemical plants run on carbon steel and specialty alloy, and their main process piping isn't electropolished. Where we're useful is the clean utilities and food, seafood and pharma lines in the new industrial city and agro-SEZ, chloride-heavy coastal duty where duplex outperforms standard stainless, and the EPC contractors who build all of it.

Coastal and chloride-heavy duty

Duplex 2205 and 316L, chosen for chloride resistance rather than finish alone.

Design-stage projects

Quotes against your drawings and specification, with the document pack you'll need for commissioning.

Food, seafood and agro-park lines

A smooth, passivated interior that cleans easily and resists brine, for plants that wash, blend or heat their product.

Pharma and clean utility for new plants

316L with a smooth internal surface and verified passivation.

DM-water and sampling lines in large complexes

Smooth, passivated 304L and 316L for demineralised-water and analysis lines.

Fabricators and EPC contractors

Cut-to-length pipe with heat-number traceability for the shops and contractors who build for the coast.

Local Buying Notes for Nellore:
  • Don't plan around the projects' timelines. The industrial city, the agro-SEZ and the refinery project will take years, and individual plants will move at their own pace. Send your drawings or specification whenever your project is ready, and we'll quote against them, mark up the specification, flag anything that doesn't suit electropolished pipe, and prepare the document pack you'll need for commissioning.
  • Plain 304 is a poor bet on this coast. Salt-laden air and chloride-bearing water attack 304 by pitting. We steer exposed and wet runs towards 316L or duplex 2205, and suggest super duplex for the harshest seawater-linked duty. Electropolishing leaves a smoother, more passive surface, but the base grade decides how long the pipe lasts.
  • New plants usually buy through EPC contractors. If you're an EPC or a fabricator, we supply with the document pack your client's inspector expects. If your client has an approved-vendor process, send us the form and we'll complete it.
  • We'll say plainly where electropolished pipe isn't the answer. Main process lines in refineries and petrochemical plants are carbon or alloy steel. Our pipe is for the clean side. Send us the line, the media and the temperature and we'll say honestly whether it fits. Avoid hydrofluoric acid and abrasive slurries.
  • Seafood is a brine problem. Shrimp and fish processing uses brine, ice-water and chlorinated wash. 316L is usually the minimum, and a smooth electropolished interior is easier to clean and sanitise. Send us your cleaning chemistry and chloride levels.
  • For a few plain lengths, a local dealer will usually be cheaper. We're the better choice when you need a measured Ra, heat-number traceability, a particular size or finish, or the full document pack.
  • Send the whole requirement at once. Consolidated orders spread freight better. If you also buy for Tirupati, Guntur or Chennai, send the requirements together and we'll quote one consolidated dispatch with one document format.
  • Protect the finish. Humid, saline air can mark an electropolished surface in storage. We cap the ends and sleeve every length, and we recommend keeping the sleeves on until installation.

The 5-Step Electropolishing and Passivation Process

01

Degreasing and Cleaning

Oils, cutting fluids and drawing residues are completely removed first. The finish is only as good as the chemical preparation.

02

Pickling / Activation

Where weld heat tint or surface oxide is present, it is etched and activated so the pipe surface electropolishes uniformly.

03

Anodic Electropolishing Bath

The pipe acts as anode in an electrolytic acid bath. High microscopic peaks dissolve first, levelling the surface and stripping free iron.

04

Passivation Stabilisation

The chromium-rich passive layer is stabilised per ASTM A967 / ASTM B912 to prevent future pitting and galvanic attack.

05

DI Water Rinse and Drying

High-purity deionised water rinse removes all electrolytic residues, followed by hot air drying, capping and clean poly-sleeving.
