Electropolished Pipes & Tubes Manufacturer and Supplier in Chittoor

Chittoor is India's biggest mango-pulp district, with dozens of pulp units, a Mega Food Park at Mogili and a large tomato and fruit belt around Madanapalle and Piler. We manufacture and electropolish SS 316L and 304L pipes and tubes and supply Chittoor's fruit and food processors and fabricators directly, with MTC EN 10204 3.1, 100% PMI testing and a measured Ra report on every order.

Electropolished Pipe for Chittoor's Fruit and Food Belt

Chittoor lies in the far south of Andhra Pradesh, bordering Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, and it is the state's largest mango-producing district, with around 80,000 hectares of mango and an annual output of roughly 7.5 lakh tonnes, much of it the Totapuri variety grown for pulp. The district hosts around 40 or more mango-pulp processing units with a combined annual capacity of about 4 lakh tonnes, many of them exporting pulp. The Srini Food Park at Mogili in Bangarupalem mandal is a central-government-assisted Mega Food Park listed as operational, with a common multi-fruit processing line of about 10 tonnes an hour for mango, papaya, guava and tomato. Around Madanapalle and Piler, tomato, banana and other fruit feed further processing, including farmer-owned tomato units. The district's industrial profile also lists a fruit-processing cluster, a rice-mill cluster and a granite cluster.

A word on fit. Rice milling and granite are dry processes and don't use electropolished pipe. Where we're useful is the fruit and tomato lines (pulping, heating, filling), CIP, aseptic and hot-fill systems, and the fabricators who build and repair that equipment. The mango-pulp trade has been through a hard patch, so many buyers are repairing or upgrading rather than building new lines.

Mango and fruit pulp lines

A smooth, passivated 316L interior that rinses clean and resists acidic pulp, with 304L for wash water and steam.

Aseptic and hot-fill systems

Smooth, documented tubing for heating, holding and filling lines, specified to your design.

Tomato paste and puree

Hygienic tubing that cleans easily and resists acid and salt.

CIP and SIP lines

A smooth bore cleans faster and drains better, which matters for caustic and acid wash cycles between seasons.

Fabricators and equipment makers

Cut-to-length pipe with heat-number traceability for the shops that build and repair processing lines.

Upgrades and off-season projects

Quotes against your drawings and shutdown window, so installation fits the gap between seasons.

Local Buying Notes for Chittoor:
  • Mango pulp is acidic. Pulp is acidic and often processed with brine or acidic cleaning, and chlorides plus acid attack 304 by pitting. For pulp and tomato lines, 316L is usually the safer grade, and 304L suits steam, wash water and dry-side lines. Tell us your product and CIP chemistry and we'll confirm the grade. Our internal Ra of 0.4 µm or better sits well inside the usual food band of 0.8 µm.
  • The trade runs in seasons. Mango pulping peaks in the summer months, and the quiet months are when plants repair and upgrade. If you tell us your shutdown window when you enquire, we'll plan manufacture and dispatch against it, and we'll say plainly if the lead time doesn't fit.
  • The pulp sector has been under pressure, and we won't oversell. Many units are cautious about new investment. We can't promise that a smoother pipe will pay for itself in your plant, because that depends on your product, your cleaning cycle and your volumes. If a repair or a plain stainless tube is the better choice for you, we'll say so.
  • Rice and granite aren't the target. Those are dry processes. We'd rather tell you than sell you something you don't need.
  • Between Chennai and Bengaluru. Chittoor is roughly 160 km from Chennai and 180 km from Bengaluru. If you also buy for Tirupati, Hosur, Bengaluru or Chennai, send the requirements together and we'll quote one consolidated dispatch with one document format.
  • For a few plain lengths, a local dealer will usually be cheaper. We're the better choice when you need a measured Ra, heat-number traceability, a particular size or finish, or the full document pack.
  • Exporters are audited. Pulp exporters face hygiene and traceability audits from overseas buyers, so every order ships with heat-number traceability, a measured Ra surface report, and passivation and ferrite records. These support your own audit file but don't replace it.

The 5-Step Electropolishing and Passivation Process

01

Degreasing and Cleaning

Oils, cutting fluids and drawing residues are completely removed first. The finish is only as good as the chemical preparation.

02

Pickling / Activation

Where weld heat tint or surface oxide is present, it is etched and activated so the pipe surface electropolishes uniformly.

03

Anodic Electropolishing Bath

The pipe acts as anode in an electrolytic acid bath. High microscopic peaks dissolve first, levelling the surface and stripping free iron.

04

Passivation Stabilisation

The chromium-rich passive layer is stabilised per ASTM A967 / ASTM B912 to prevent future pitting and galvanic attack.

05

DI Water Rinse and Drying

High-purity deionised water rinse removes all electrolytic residues, followed by hot air drying, capping and clean poly-sleeving.
