Sambalpur is western Odisha's main city, on the Mahanadi below the Hirakud dam, with an aluminium smelter and rolling mills at Hirakud, steel and sponge-iron units around it, and a university, medical college and hospital at Burla. We manufacture and electropolish SS 304L and 316L pipes and tubes and supply Sambalpur's plants, institutions and fabricators directly, with MTC EN 10204 3.1, 100% PMI testing and a measured Ra report on every order.
Sambalpur sits in western Odisha, on the Howrah–Mumbai rail line and the road between Nagpur–Raipur and Bhubaneswar, and the state's minerals department lists the Hirakud area for aluminium and rolling mills. A national aluminium and copper group is based at Hirakud, and the district also holds integrated steel and sponge-iron units around Rengali, Bamloi and Lapanga in its pollution-control board's records. Sambalpur Industrial Estate, one of the state's industrial estates, houses smaller manufacturers. The city is home to a technical university and a medical college and hospital at Burla, and it is famous for Sambalpuri handloom textiles.
A word on fit. Aluminium smelting and rolling, steel-making and sponge iron are heavy processes whose main lines use carbon steel and specialty alloy. Handloom weaving is a craft, and its dyeing is small-scale. Where we're useful is the clean side of the plants (DM water, boiler-feed, sampling and laboratory lines), institutional laboratory and clean-steam systems, and the fabricators who serve them.

| Steel and sponge-iron units (Rengali, Bamloi, Lapanga) | Steel-making and sponge iron | Clean utility, DM water and laboratory lines only | 304L |
| Sambalpur Industrial Estate | MSME manufacturing and agro | Clean utility, skid assemblies, small lots | 304L / 316L, cut to drawing |
| University, medical college and hospital at Burla | Teaching, healthcare and research | Clean steam, purified water, laboratory lines, small lots | 316L / 304L, internal Ra ≤0.4 µm |
| Fabricators and workshops | Local equipment builders serving the plants | Headers, skids, tank pipework, cut to drawing | 304L / 316L, traceable cut lengths |
| Handloom and textile dyeing | Sambalpuri textiles | Craft or small-scale dyeing; not a fit | n/a |
Smooth, passivated 304L and 316L for demineralised-water and utility lines.
Small-bore stainless tube cut to drawing, for the analysis lines that need clean, traceable material.
Clean, documented tubing for hospital sterilisation units, labs and research facilities, in small lots.
Cut lengths supplied against your drawing and schedule.
Cut-to-length pipe with heat-number traceability for the shops that maintain and build for the plants.
A smooth bore cleans faster and drains better, where food or beverage plants need it.

Instant dimension calculation and Ra unit conversions for engineering procurement
Oils, cutting fluids and drawing residues are completely removed first. The finish is only as good as the chemical preparation.
Where weld heat tint or surface oxide is present, it is etched and activated so the pipe surface electropolishes uniformly.
The pipe acts as anode in an electrolytic acid bath. High microscopic peaks dissolve first, levelling the surface and stripping free iron.
The chromium-rich passive layer is stabilised per ASTM A967 / ASTM B912 to prevent future pitting and galvanic attack.
High-purity deionised water rinse removes all electrolytic residues, followed by hot air drying, capping and clean poly-sleeving.
