Electropolished Pipes & Tubes Manufacturer and Supplier in Kakinada

Kakinada is a deep-water port city on the Godavari delta, with a multi-product SEZ, a pharma SEZ, fertiliser and chemical plants, liquid-storage terminals and one of India's busiest seafood-processing coasts. We manufacture and electropolish SS 316L and duplex 2205 pipes and tubes and supply Kakinada's plants, contractors and fabricators directly, with MTC EN 10204 3.1, 100% PMI testing and a measured Ra report on every order.

Regional Capability

Electropolished Pipe for Kakinada's Industrial Belt

Kakinada sits on the Bay of Bengal in East Godavari district, and the state's presentations treat it as a port-led industrial corridor, with a deep-water port, an anchorage port and a SEZ. The Kakinada Special Economic Zone is a multi-product SEZ listed with sectors that include agro-based industry and liquid storage, and a separate pharma SEZ, formerly known as Ramky Pharma City, is notified at Kakinada Rural. The area sits at the southern end of the petroleum, chemicals and petrochemicals investment region that stretches 640 sq km between Visakhapatnam and Kakinada, with pharma, organic chemicals, industrial gases, agro-chemicals and fertiliser companies. The port handles liquid cargoes, including chemicals and speciality-chemical ships. The Godavari coast is also a major centre for aquaculture and seafood processing, and the district's other industrial estates include Peddapuram.

A word on fit. Main process piping in fertiliser, petrochemical and gas plants is carbon steel or specialty alloy, and it isn't electropolished. Where we're useful is the clean side of those plants (DM water, sampling, instrument and laboratory lines), the pharma SEZ's purified-water and WFI systems, seafood and food lines where brine rules out 304, and the contractors who maintain the plants.

WFI and purified water for pharma plants

316L with a smooth internal surface and verified passivation.

Chloride-heavy coastal and port duty

Duplex 2205 and 316L, chosen for chloride resistance rather than finish alone.

Seafood, brine and wash lines

A smooth, passivated 316L interior that rinses clean and resists brine, for shrimp and fish processing.

DM-water and sampling lines in heavy plants

Smooth, passivated 304L and 316L for demineralised-water and analysis lines.

Turnaround and maintenance spares

Cut lengths supplied against your drawing and schedule.

Fabricators and contractors

Cut-to-length pipe with heat-number traceability for the shops that serve Kakinada's plants.

Local Buying Notes for Kakinada:
  • Plain 304 is a poor bet on this coast. Salt-laden air and chloride-bearing water attack 304 by pitting, and brine makes it worse. We steer exposed and wet runs towards 316L or duplex 2205, and suggest super duplex for the harshest seawater-linked duty. Electropolishing leaves a smoother, more passive surface, but the base grade decides how long the pipe lasts.
  • We'll say plainly where electropolished pipe isn't the answer. Main process lines in fertiliser, petrochemical and gas plants are carbon or alloy steel. Our pipe is for the clean side. Send us the line, the media and the temperature and we'll say honestly whether it fits. Avoid hydrofluoric acid and abrasive slurries.
  • Seafood is a brine problem. Shrimp and fish processing uses brine, ice-water and chlorinated wash. 316L is usually the minimum, and a smooth electropolished interior is easier to clean and sanitise. Send us your cleaning chemistry and chloride levels.
  • Large plants buy formally. Major plants generally purchase through tenders, approved-vendor lists and registered contractors. If yours does, send us the tender specification and we'll respond with a technical and commercial offer and the document pack, including 100% PMI results and a 3.1 MTC tied to heat numbers.
  • Regulated pharma is audited. Every order ships with heat-number traceability, a measured Ra surface report, and passivation and ferrite records. These support your validation file but don't replace your own validation documentation.
  • For a few plain lengths, a local dealer will usually be cheaper. We're the better choice when you need a measured Ra, heat-number traceability, a particular size or finish, or the full document pack.
  • If your turnaround has a fixed date, tell us when you enquire and we'll say plainly whether it fits.
  • Send the whole requirement at once. Consolidated orders spread freight better. If you also buy for Rajahmundry, Anakapalle or Visakhapatnam, send the requirements together and we'll quote one consolidated dispatch with one document format.
  • Protect the finish. Humid, saline air can mark an electropolished surface in storage. We cap the ends and sleeve every length, and we recommend keeping the sleeves on until installation.

The 5-Step Electropolishing and Passivation Process

01

Degreasing and Cleaning

Oils, cutting fluids and drawing residues are completely removed first. The finish is only as good as the chemical preparation.

02

Pickling / Activation

Where weld heat tint or surface oxide is present, it is etched and activated so the pipe surface electropolishes uniformly.

03

Anodic Electropolishing Bath

The pipe acts as anode in an electrolytic acid bath. High microscopic peaks dissolve first, levelling the surface and stripping free iron.

04

Passivation Stabilisation

The chromium-rich passive layer is stabilised per ASTM A967 / ASTM B912 to prevent future pitting and galvanic attack.

05

DI Water Rinse and Drying

High-purity deionised water rinse removes all electrolytic residues, followed by hot air drying, capping and clean poly-sleeving.
