Product Profile

SS 321 (UNS S32100 / ASTM A312 TP321) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel pipe specifically engineered for continuous service in the elevated temperature sensitization range of 425°C to 850°C (800°F to 1500°F). The addition of titanium (dosed at a minimum of 5 times carbon content) preferentially binds carbon to form stable titanium carbides during mill heat treatment. This prevents chromium carbide precipitation at grain boundaries during welding or high-temperature exposure, thereby eliminating intergranular corrosion (sensitization) and preserving full corrosion resistance in post-weld elevated-temperature environments. Sakshi Forge manufactures SS 321 seamless pipes using hot extrusion and precision cold drawing, followed by a stabilizing anneal. These pipes feature a smooth, seamless bore, superior creep-rupture strength, and excellent scaling resistance. They are widely specified across thermal power plants, petroleum refining units, chemical process lines, aircraft exhaust collectors, and boiler superheaters where standard 304/304L stainless steels cannot provide long-term high-temperature reliability.
