Genome Valley: India's Vaccine Hub
Genome Valley, spread across Shameerpet, Karkapatla, Turkapally and neighbouring areas north of Hyderabad, is one of Asia's largest life-sciences clusters. CBRE's market research puts it at more than 200 biotech and pharmaceutical companies from 18 countries, and it is widely known as India's vaccine hub, with established vaccine and biologics manufacturers alongside contract research and development organisations. Telangana's own life-sciences material credits the state with more than a third of India's vaccine exports.
This makes Genome Valley the most demanding market we serve for surface finish and documentation. Biologics and vaccine processes are sensitive to things that a tablet plant can tolerate: trace residues, rough welds, rouge and particulate.
Biologics and Vaccine Process Lines
In a vaccine or biologics plant, electropolished tube runs through media and buffer preparation, harvest and purification transfer, formulation and filling, WFI distribution, clean-steam headers and CIP/SIP circuits. Product proteins and cell debris adhere to rough steel and are hard to remove; a smooth, electropolished, chromium-rich surface cleans and sanitises more reliably and resists rouging in hot WFI.
The usual specification is 316L to ASTM A270 with the S2 supplement, ASME BPE SF4 (internal Ra no more than 0.38 um) as a minimum, and tighter SF grades where a user requirement specification calls for them. Many biologics buyers also specify sulphur content in the ASME BPE range for good orbital weldability - state this in your RFQ so we can confirm heat chemistry against it.
Small Diameters, Frequent Orders, Zero Tolerance for Variation
Life-science buyers in Genome Valley order differently from bulk process industries: smaller ODs, shorter lengths, more frequent and smaller orders, often for pilot plants, clinical-batch suites and capacity add-ons. What matters is that every order matches the last - the same finish, the same documentation format - so that validation does not have to be repeated for every spool.
Every electropolished lot we ship carries an EN 10204 3.1 certificate traced to heat number, a PMI record for each length and an internal Ra report stating the measurement method. For critical systems ask your fabricator for weld maps, borescope video or images of internal welds, and passivation records to complete the package.
CROs, CDMOs and R&D Facilities
Genome Valley's contract research and development organisations run multi-product labs and pilot suites where flexibility matters more than volume. Purified-water and WFI points of use, lab-scale CIP and small bioreactor connections are typical needs, usually in 316L SF4 tube in small ODs. Order quantities are small; certification requirements are not.

Genome Valley is supplied by road from Mumbai; dispatch and transit are confirmed in writing per quotation. Krishnapatnam Port is the nearest listed sea gateway for export-bound material. For cleanroom-bound tube we recommend unpacking only in a controlled area and inspecting end caps and sleeves on receipt.
